The mission of Pine Lake Fellowship Camp is to provide a place for people of all ages and of diverse backgrounds into the renewal of spirit, soul, and body and into reconciliation with God, creation, and each other.
Volunteers power Pine Lake! The Summer Camp programs rely on volunteer cooks, nurses, pastors*, and handymen. To serve in this capacity, please create/login to your account and apply! A PLFC staff will follow up with you shortly!
Volunteer Role Descriptions
Head Cook
The Head Cook shall:
- Coordinate food preparations with the cooks according to the menu created by the food purchaser.
- Communicate with directors regarding kitchen needs.
- Have meals prepared on time for campers to eat.
- Clean-up after meals.
Cooks
The cooks shall:
- Prepare food according to menus created by food purchaser.
- Work as a team, following head cook guidance, to feed campers on time.
- Serve food to campers.
- Clean-up after meals.
Camp Nurse
The Camp Nurse shall:
- Be responsible for the securing and maintaining of first aid equipment.
- Review all the campers' health forms for health problems, receive all medication, and administer the same as directed by a physician or prescription.
- Keep records of all medications given, complaints registered, symptoms noted and treatments administered.
- Report all needs for a medical examination to the camp director and accompany the same to the emergency room or physician’s office if deemed advisable.
- Instruct counselors on noting and reporting any indications of illness or injury or need for further observations if complaints have been registered.
Camp Pastor
The Camp Pastor shall:
- Use the Bible as the resource book in such a way that appreciation, respect, and love for it will increase.
- Conduct studies that relate to the campers' interests, needs and life goals.
- Seek to make the Bible relevant to campers lives.
- Portray the Bible as a source for guidance, inspiration, comfort, and wisdom, as revealing God’s will and purpose for the individual and the Christian church.
