It's odd to say it, but the snow missed Pine Lake It's odd to say it, but the snow missed Pine Lake and hit the Gulf Coast. We enjoyed receiving photos from supporters enjoying the 5+ inches of snow in south Mississippi and Louisiana. It's not as pretty as Pine Lake with snow, but here's the lake with a thin layer of ice covering over 50% of the surface. The temperature was 13 degrees this morning. In 2009, the lake froze enough that one family ice skated. I don't know if it happened before and hasn't happened since!
